The Phoenix is driven primarily by my wife but I also ride it and it is a very enjoyable quad. We have had it for a year and it has not had a single problem, it is the only quad we have that has not been to the shop at all for anything than the recommended service after break in time was completed. I own a Polaris Outlaw, Polaris Sportman 450, and a Yamaha Raptor 80. It is suprisingly powerful climbing but not very fast, my son's Raptor 80 is almost as fast at 37 mph (has been enhanced) to the Phoenix 40 mph top speed. I know others have had reliability issues but these I believe were only on the earlier units. The one I have has been good. The only complaint is it uses more fuel than it should. This machine is overbuilt, the frame is strong, stronger than my Outlaw. So while this does not help the weight, you can be sure it will take the abuse of time and rough rides.
